My usual field off Hall Lane, Aspull. Pair of Curlew last week, Oystercatchers and Mediterranean Gulls daily. Highlight this morning was a brief visit of a single Common Ringed Plover, first for me in this area. Late afternoon, Ringed Plover returned with juvenile.

A single garden warbler was present most of the day in a mature garden , feeding high up in scycamore tree,s and singing regular , i spotted the bird once , also had willow warbler singing in the same area a week ago and a fly through woodcock several weeks ago , the garden is in quite a built up area .
"Light thickens and the crow makes wing to the rooky wood" 800+ corvids (Crows/Rooks/Jackdaws) in tonight at the Woodshaw roost, also Starlings, Redwings and Fieldfares. Numbers difficult to assess in the gloom. Not so spectacular as the Norfolk roost but pretty impressive all the same.
Any problems with the site from now on and we know who to blame
