Hi all


United Utilities feed the Twite, strictly Nyjer seed only, along with some members of Halifax Bird Club. They have an arrangement and between them they know how much feed is being consumed.


I never get up there on Sundays these days, so I don`t know these gentlemen - perhaps they`re HBC members ?

UU have asked that people do not feed the Twite as they are on a special diet!

45 Twite were at the LH feeding station and came down to feed on Nyjer seed that had just been put down. These two gentlemen walk along the Pennine Way every Sunday morning at exactly the same time, so maybe the Twite have learnt to tell the time!


There were also 3 Goldeneye on the resr and 2 Red Grouse showed well on the moor directly below the resr.
