RE: Bittern at Pearson's Flash 28.11.06

Hi Ian,

The feeding station is very easy to miss as it`s always nearly overgrown. If you are parking at the school take the path off to your right at the metal gate and info. board. About 20 yards on, with the school on your right there`s a path to your left. Take this and almost immediately on your right is the viewing screen for the feeding station. Feeders are hung in the tree on the small island. Look to your left into the reeds for Water Rail.

Hope this is of help. Ian.

Ian Woosey told me he saw a Bittern twice today on Pearson's Flash, in the reedbeds at the front and the back. Also 8 Wigeon.

The Cormorant roost reached 57 in the Wigan Flashes tonight.
