A very happy birthday and congratulations to the father too. Well bought up. Hours of pleasure in the 15 years or so I've been on here. Very much appreciated.
Today marks this Manchester Birding Forum’s 20th birthday.
I think it’s quite remarkable that what was, and may very well still be, a little inland north-west UK birding forum, has not only survived so long but has flourished through that 20 years. That is of course all thanks to all of you that use it, registered members or lurkers either way, it matters not, just thanks a lot, really.
In that 20 years the forum has amassed just under 117 million views to date, 177,908 comments and has 2668 members, though bear in mind that all those members are verified by me personally and so doesn’t include any spam, bots, timewasters or the likes, it's real people with at least an interest in birds! The average views per month during 2026 so far is just over 1.4 million and May 2026 saw the forum’s busiest month ever, with a remarkable 2,328,428 views.
