Mid Cheshire rather than South but FYI.

Budworth Mere at Marbury Park.

Go to the "Bittern Hide" at the West End of the Mere, five minutes walk from the main car park. Can See two / three there often.

River Dane, Shipbrook Road near Davenham. Park in the lay-by at the bridge and walk downstream.

could anyone suggest a location in South Cheshire where I may have a good chance of spotting Kingfishers?
