A male Redstart was in a hawthorn along Ring Lows Lane (SD900157), to the east of Syke, this morning.
A female/immature Redstart was in Fanny Brook Valley (SD902162) early afternoon, flying out from the treeline to catch insects and landing on an old drystone wall.

Hey Wood
A Nuthatch calling, not a common bird in the area
Brownhouse Wham Reservoir
Raven flew low across the moors to the north

A productive morning and early afternoon walk covering Hey Wood, Hamer Pasture and Brownhouse Wham Reservoirs.
Tree Pipit - one circled overhead and called several times over Ring Lows Lane (SD900158) then flew SSW at 09:30.
Yellow Wagtail - one flew low calling over Dewhirst Road to the south of Brownhouse Wham Reservoir (SD897162)
Spotted Flycatcher - one hawking from the willows by the pond below Dewhirst Road (SD898160)

Swift - 11 feeding and flying west by Hey Wood

Greenfinch - 5
Linnet - 7 at Brownhouse Wham Reservoir including a juvenile hunger calling
Reed Bunting - male alarm calling and juveniles hunger calling
Sparrowhawk - female
Chiffchaff calling from a small patch of bracken on the hillside
Rook - 9 feeding with 30 Jackdaws
