As Sarfraz said, thanks for posting this Craig. Hopefully there won't be too many lifers that turn up to frustrate Dave whilst he is out of action and if you're reading this Dave, all the best and get well soon.

cheers Kevin

Thanks for posting this Craig.  I heard a couple of days ago and didn't have any details.  At least the Sunday update gives some hope.  I wonder what he is thinking about the Grey headed Lapwing?

The Rossendale Rescue Service hopes to see you out and about soon!

Thats a real shame Craig. I wish him a speedy recovery back to as best he can. Hes a top bloke and met him and his crew on many occasions at various sites.

Just a heads up for any of Daves (well known Rossendale and GM birder) birding friends that havent already heard yet but sadly Dave had a severe stroke at home on Saturday evening and is now in Fairfield Hospital, Bury, in the Stroke Unit (Ward 5).

Obviously it isnt good news but thankfully he is talking good, witty and is as shape as a tack as Dave always is. He cant move his left side as yet but hopefully that will return with time and physio.

I went to visit him yesterday and as ever all his concerns were about breaking him out of hospital to take him to East Sussex for the lifer hes missing, the White-crowned Sparrow!!!

If anyone wishes to visit him in hospital, he wants lots of visitors so go and pay him a visit. Ward 5 is easy to find. Main entrance, turn left, stairs to 1st floor and left then immediate right turn.

Regards, Craig.
