I've noticed a grey wagtail has been busy exploring the newly asphalted surface on my Old Trafford road for the past week - does anyone know what in particular might attract it to this surface? I haven't noticed any other birds doing this, and it's not often I see a grey wagtail here (once before flitting around when we had blocked, smelly drains).
