Late news for yesterday (the 18th) when a Little Egret flew North over Manchester Road near St Stephens School at c. 7.50 am

1 vocal Brambling went south over Withington Common, Manchester Road this morning

c500 east over in a single skein at 07:30 this morning And a single Cormorant also west.

Still no sign of the Yellow-browed Warbler between Green Avenue and the East Lancs Road (A580) up to 4pm, though birders looking earlier did find 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 2 Goldcrest, 2 flyover Siskin and a Treecreeper in the bush and tree lined edges of the few fields there and around the small park. There has been a lack of any tit flocks since this morning too though.

No further sign of the Yellow-browned Warbler off Green Avenue currently since it’s initial sightings, though it is still being looked for.

Yellow-browed Warbler off Green Avenue, Astley. Bird is moving in a small tit flock around the first field west of the small park at the end of Marklands Road and has been very vocal.
