An approximate number of singing birds seen and heard here on a regular

2 mile exercise walk during The Lockdown 16th April- 31st May.

Three Sisters / Ellesmere Park / Eccles  / Swinton Fields

9 Chiffchaff

1 Great Spotted Woodpecker

25 Wren

12 Dunnock

16 Robin

20 Blackbird

14 Song Thrush

3 Mistle thrush

3 Common whitethroat (Eccles / Swinton Fields)

22 Blackcap

16 Blue Tit

11 Great Tit

6 Nuthatch (Ellesmere Park)

c90 House Sparrow (6 colonies)

13 Chaffinch

3 Greenfinch

2 Bullfinch

9 Ring Necked Parakeet (7 Three Sisters + 2 Eccles College)

No Willow Warbler (wrong habitat)

Sadly 650 house are being built on Eccles / Swinton  Fields. The locals tell me that the surrounding area (that's if there's any left) will be ''cleaned up and landscaped'', what this really means is the bramble / willow scrub will be removed and the only Common Whitethroat Habitat lost.
