Linnets flock circa 20

Tree Sparrow 12

Goldcrest x2

Long Tailed Tit two small flocks circa x6

Goldfinch flock of circa x6

I thought to start a specific thread for this site as its quite a large area and is a newly created country park a new website has been launched see below.    The site is an ex landfill that is due to fully completed in June 2011 and has some spectacular views over the high ground.   Expectations are the wildlife will develop and visitors increase hence the suggestion for now a specific thread.     Other than the area of Landfill the rest of the site is well established habitat and has been for well over 50 years since the closure of the Pits.    You can access the site from Haydock or Lyme Street off (Crow Lane west A572 or Vista Road (B5209) there is a large car park and visitors area on Vista Road.
