I had a quick look at lunchtime - families of Mallard & Canada Geese only, but your birds could have drifted along the river ... though to be honest I'd expect Garganey to be on still water not a fast flowing stream

Family of garganey east side of bridge. Not entirely sure perhaps someone can confirm
