2 Skylark singing from Parsonage ruck this morning. Mistle Thrush very active at least 4 different nests found around the Marshes. Grey Wagtail on Westleigh Brook. Seen Dipper twice this week also.
There's been quite a number of Gulls the last few days, although ive not seen anything out of the ordinary. Most days I've been walking home without binos from training, so not been able to have a proper look.
Dipper has been showing well around Westleigh Brook for the last couple of weeks, mainly around Sportsman Street Bridge. Three birds have been seen, sometimes cracking views when the water levels are right.
Dipper has been seen towards the end of Clifton Street. Been seen quite a few times around that area. At least 5 Grey Wagtails around the Westleigh Brook area as well. There's been at least 15+ Mistle Thrush on Marsh Playing fields. Not many Redwings compared to previous years. A large gathering of Gulls on Wednesday and Thursday but nothing out of the ordinary. A Female Sparrowhawk has been about for the last few weeks.
Brilliant experience walking home from the gym just now saw a bird struggling near to the entrance of Marsh playing Fields, initially thought it was an injured Wood pigeon, as i got closer i realised it was a Male Sparrowhawk with a Collared Dove right at the side of the road with cars going past. Both birds were struggling and the Collared dove managed to fly away across the Marshys, the Sparrowhawk gave chase but both birds disappeared out of view! Never seen anything like that before especially so close to a road.
13 Mistle Thrush on Marshes this morning while I was sprint training including some juveniles. 20+ House Martin hunting some coming within 6 foot awesome views.
Some sightings for the last couple of months, all thanks to Billy Armstrong.

A couple of hundred Gulls on the playing fields today as it's massively flooded, didn't have time to stop as I was working but definitely picked out a few Lesser black backed gulls, 2 Mistle thrush and a single Redwing seen.
There was still plenty of birds on the playing fields this morning, mainly Gulls and Starling. There were 6 Redwing in the corner and at least 15 in trees just off Shelley Street.
The playing fields were extremely flooded when I ran past them this morning. Didn't have time to stop but I would estimate that there were no less than 400 Black-Headed Gulls (they were literally covering the entire field). Also, about 10 Lesser Black-Backed with them. 60+ Starlings were also on the field along with 50+ Jackdaw and about 20 Carrion Crows.
1 Common Whitethroat singing from large bramble patch in between Westleigh cricket club and Pataks. Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff and Blackcap heard also.
