From my sister's garden, yesterday evening. She lives close to the reservoirs
40+ Swift 3 Sand Martin Swallow House Martin 30+ House Sparrow - lots of young birds around Blackbird - pair appeared to have a nest in a hawthorn adjacent to the garden Long-tailed Tit - at least one young bird Dunnock and Wren - both singing Starling - several birds flying over Carrion Crow Jackdaw Collared Dove
Whilst sat with the girlfriend in the Fairfield Arms on Manchester Rd near the old Trough the other day, a Collared Dove landed close by. It had a turquoise blue ring on its leg but the legs are so short and the naturally low gait and jizz of the bird would've rendered it impossible to check for a number. Anyone know if there's any significance with the blue ring? Cheers
