Seems like the correct thread.

Whilst sat with the girlfriend in the Fairfield Arms on Manchester Rd near the old Trough the other day, a Collared Dove landed close by. It had a turquoise blue ring on its leg but the legs are so short and the naturally low gait and jizz of the bird would've rendered it impossible to check for a number.
Anyone know if there's any significance with the blue ring?
Cheers

This morning around first light

c200 Jackdaw landed in trees and on grass at Audenshaw School (presumably birds from Fairfield GC roost)
