Sedge Warbler Family group (fledged from nest found last week)

Lesser Whitethroat 1 singing. Holding territory
Whitethroat 4
Sedge Warbler 1 singing male
Sky lark 5 singing males
Reed Bunting 8

Buzzard 1 & Raven 1 - Daisy Hill South 9 - 10am

Grasshopper Warbler 1 reeling & Lesser Whitethroat 1 singing male 10-11am - Pickley Green

6.00-8.00am. 28 species minimum. Highlights as follows.

Lesser Whitethroat 1 singing in full view atop of willow and hawthorne on the heath.
Common Whitethroat 5 singing males & 1 pair
Skylark 3 singing males
Reed Bunting 7 inc 5 singing
Sedge Warbler 1 singing & 1 in small reedbed
Willow Tit 1
Grey Partridge 1 pair in open ground giving great views

Also 1 Brown Hare nearly ran straight into me.

Usual Tawny Owl not present

The heath along the south eastern side of Colliery Lane looks to be a very promising site, full of warblers inc the Lesser Whitethroat

New adopted patch for me.

10 - 11am. 28 species. Highlights as follows:

Tawny Owl 1 perched in usual place. Nest present. Site undisclosed as prone to disturbance.
Whitethroat 2 singing
