plenty of nuthatch, great tit, robin and wren .

            4x treeecreeper,

            3x song thrush

            8x Siskin flying around without settling, 

            2x Raven over.

            4x greenfinch.

2x ring necked parakeets 

3x nuthatch, 2 were chasing around the treetops

numerous blue, great, coal & longtailed tits, many paired up and displaying.

2x treeecreeper 

4x blackbird

5x robin

singes of dunnock,wren chaffinch & bullfinch.

a song thrush singing, quietly .

Mediterranean gull (adult) on the lido . Flew off towards bury at 11:10 am.

Nuthatch & treeecreeper much in evidence, 2x great spotted woodpeckers.

goldfinch, greenfinch & bullfinch in hedge by horses field.

pied & grey wagtails by stream.

Paul Gorton photographed another colour ringed Black- headed Gull recently ( White UZK) at Bury Lido that's from Brondby in  Denmark thats at least 15+ years old and it's first  UK sighting in 7 recoveries..

Had a photo passed from Paul Gorton of a colour ringed Black-headed Gull (EUC4) on The Lido in Clarence Park, Bury which is from The Griend, Netherlands. E mailed the sighting off and be interesting to see its history

sunday went for a walk past the lido no hirundines, chiffchaff chesham woods. On to burrs female blackcap near the Brown cow pub,dipper,goosander pair on the river,plenty of non singing chiffchaff/willow warblers some catching insects in flight.Walked back round the lido and was treated to a flying display by about 30 swallows,6 sand martins and at least 2 house martins for about 30 min. till most flew off leaving about 6 swallows.

No goosanders on the lido only 5 seen in flight above,the model speed boat chasing round in circles did not help
At a guess with the way elton has been frozen recently may account for recent numbers. the lido has been only partly frozen.
I am of an age to remember goosanders being quite rare likely due to fishing policies,apologies to younger"bird nuts". sunday afternoon visit

sorry late post 29 goosanders seen lido saturday sunday only 5 seen in flight above. highlight was sunday at work a grey wagtail on a car wing mirror 5 foot from the factory door.

LIDO HAD AT LEAST 17 GOOSANDERS ON PLUS USUAL LITTLE GREBE. AREA TOWARDS WIND TURBINE GOOD MIXED FLOCK OF
REDWINGS AND FIELDFARES ANOTHER INTERESTED BIRDWATCHER WAS A FOX WHICH STAYED IN THE OPEN ABOVE FOR QUITE A WHILE SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
