Post for yesterday..0530 till 1300..Saw the following of note at various sites; 1 Grasshopper warbler by Paddys Pond , Holcombe Moor 2 Grasshopper Warbler (h) in Two Brooks Valley 2 Grey Partridge and 1 Common Tern at Lowercroft Res 1 Garden Warbler Bolholt Lodge 2 Buzzard and a Kestrel over Summerseat Village 2 Whitethroat near Brooksbottom Woods
2 Mediterranean Gulls still present on the Lodge and surrounding fields..
Also c 30 BH Gulls, all very mobile..

Out early doors along the River to Elton, Lowercroft and Bolholt Lodge. 0545 to 1430hrs. Saw the following; On the Irwell; 1 Tawny Owl 3 Dipper 2 Grey wagtail 2 Oystercatcher 1 m Sparrowhawk. 3 GS Woodpecker
6 Whooper Swans, 2 Shoveler and 3 Gadwall at Elton.
Bolholt Lodge c 80 Gulls consisted of; 2 ad Mediterranean Gull 2 LBB Gull 1 Common Gull rest BH Gulls 1 Cormorant 3 Tufted Duck 16 Teal 2 Reed Bunting
Walked from home along the Irwell to a few of the lodges and back via Summerseat. Saw the following; On the river; 1 Dipper 1 Green Sandpiper near Banks Farm
1300hrs today, reasonably large Gull flock c200 birds consisted of; 1 adult sum/pl Mediterranean Gull 2 LBB Gulls 14 Common Gulls remainder BH Gulls. All quite mobile between the Lodge and Elton High School grounds Also on the Lodge, 3 Goosander (2 f) c20 Teal 4 Mallard Coots, Moorhen and Canada Geese 2 Cormorant
