Saturday, 4th July 2015 12:00 - 15:30 hrs. Walk from Crook O'Lune picnic car park along south bank of River Lune to north of Caton village back to car park.

From the weekend

1600+ Black-headed Gulls and 140 Common Gulls in field at Hornby Sat afternoon. Spooked by a large Peregrine and put on spectacular displays with Starling-like close flocking

20 Whooper Swans with 19 Mute Swans, 2 Buzzards and 2 Ravens at nearby Melling

River Lune at Halton - 2 Goldeneyes and 3 Goosanders plus 2 Goldcrests with tit flock and Sparrowhawk over

Crook O'Lune, Caton

2 Buzzards, 2 Tawny Owls, Goosander, GSW, Nuthatch, Treecreeper (on peanut feeder!) and 5 Siskins (also on feeders), 58 Greenfinches (roost)

Thrushgill

2 Crossbills, 2 Siskins, 3 Lesser Redpolls plus cold and wet!!!
