Yesterday morning on my way to work a sedge warbler was singing on guiness rd next to johns diner, this morning it was still there & managed to see it this time.
A chiffchaff was at irmass industrial estate, Trafford park road as I was on my home from work at 2pm, I stopped to watch it as it was flitting around the bushes calling constantly.
lots of black headed gulls feeding on village circle/village way/wharfside way on my way home from work tonight at 10.05pm. hundreds of them on the nearby roofs of Viking international & what use to be the builders centre. since I started my shifts back in may, when I am on my 2-10 shift I have noticed the number of gulls increasing hugely, espeacialy over the last month, but they don't stay on the same roofs each night they do move around a lot, must be in the thousands now
lesser whitethroat singing along Trafford wharf road up near Churchill way opposite viridor waste management in the compound where the round tanks are on my way home from work at 2.05pm.
on my way home from work at 12.50pm a flock off feral pigeons were being harassed by a juvenile peregrine falcon around the rank hovis on Trafford park road. I stood on elevator road getting fantastic views as it pursued the pigeons, it did not catch anything in the 20 mins I was watching, but got very close on a couple of occasions it soon disappeared out off view.
single female wheatear was on the grass of village circle/ village way/warfside way, Trafford park on my home from work at 4.40pm, despite having a bright orange cycle jacket on it let me get within 15ft of it and then carried on feeding
There's a Wood Pigeon that appears to be melanistic around the Tenax raoundabout, also seen this bird on the banks of the MSC at Weaste in June & on Weaste ETW last autumn

3 times this week on my way to work going past ecology park tue,wed and today at 6.30am had a chiffchaff singing, but no signs off it on my back at 3.45.
Good to see a flock of 25+ Greenfinch (given the current disease problems they are having) using some tall evergreens on Mercury Way as a roosting site this evening. Noted them in the vacinity a couple of times last week and tracked them down to here, so presume its a regular site.
A very festive sighting this evening while xmas shopping, a Robin was inside the Trafford Centre flying between the fake trees (complete with xmas lights) near John Lewis.
