Peregrine hunting around 'Beyond' building this morning, also a steady movement of Woodpigeon earlier, 150 over in 15 minutes. 20 Geese high up, looked like Pink-footed Geese over west.
Hi martin, I have reason to believe that this bird is one of the media city pair & possibly the female but I still could be wrong. Definitely not the media city male as he has a longer than average bill & this bird on the tower, which I have been seeing a lot of lately looks like a bigger female. The 3rd peregrine you have seen may be this one in the photo attached which I have seen lately hanging around, a much younger bird.
The past two days Ive been working delivering all over Trafford park.
I still can't work out if the Peregrine that I see occasionally perched the Chimney is one of the BBC ones or not, yet I keep seeing 3 flying around the area. I'm sure one is a young one that keeps getting chased out of the territory.
Yesterday around the ecology park I saw 3 buzzard's high up and two kestrels displaying and squabbling with a peregrine.
Today and yesterday I've seen a large female sparrowhawk hunting around and on the addidas factory.
2 Peregrine still today, finding food easy with a couple of nice plump pigeons taken this morning, they are tending to use the Pylons next to the 'BEYOND' building beside the motorway.
I was watching a flock of 200+ black-headed gulls wheeling over the Freightliner terminal when a scarlet macaw flew overhead. I suspect this might not be a Category A vagrant but it took my mind off Lockdown forcing me to dip on the cackling goose.
Peregrine falcon still continues to show on my way home from work just after 2pm whilst driving down Trafford park road monday, Tuesday & today. I paid a brief visit on sunday afternoon & got some distant photos. I do believe this now could well be one of the media city pair. Also today a buzzard was being mobbed by 3 crows over the ecology park.
A peregrine falcon continues to be seen regularly now around chep uk on village way, was seen 3 times last week, monday, thursday & Friday when coming home from work & seen again today when going to work around 1.15pm.
Just for the record as it's actually out of Trafford Park in Davyhulme but a Peregrine that I assume is one of these has over the weekend and also today been hunting over the Davyhulme Millennium Nature Reserve - a spectacular dive earlier saw it take a Wood Pigeon, the speed was simply breath taking
2 Peregrines sat on pylon in front of the golf centre, male on the top strut and presumed female sat well in towards the main body of pylon. Not much action in the hour I was there , viewed from Beyond.
Sunday 24.1.20
2 Peregrines sat on same pylon, then the male started hunting the local pigeons with 1 near miss viewed from Beyond, had a wander round to the car park of the golf centre , male by this stage was sat on the B of Beyond and the female atop the Pylon. Then she started calling and to our surprise there was another male sat on the E also, this one then got escorted away over towards the Trafford Centre by the male , whilst the female started to hunt the pigeons also, couple of near misses and when I left she was sat in the snow on the roof of Beyond.
A quick mooch around the carpark at Beyond showed what looked like leg rings of Pigeons, feathers from a variety of birds looked like Blackbirds Pigeons and Rink Necked Parakeets, wings off what appeared to be a Jackdaw and then there were bits of flesh lying around as well.. Under the pylon much the same apart from a couple legs
2 Peregrine again this morning on the 'BEYOND' letters facing The Trafford Centre, also 2 Gadwall on the Ship Canal, 6 Bullfinch, Buzzard among the 34 species recorded.
Old Park Lane and the Trafford Way 14:25 - 15:10 (the far point on an exercise walk to the Trafford Centre and back)
Black-headed Gull 30 overhead
Blue Tit 1
Bullfinch 3
Carrion Crow 5
Dunnock 1
Great Tit 1
Jackdaw 5
Lesser Black-backed Gull 1 overhead
Magpie 10
Peregrine 1
Pied Wagtail 6
Robin 1
Woodpigeon 2
The peregrine was perched atop Beyond, best seen from the Trafford Way near the cycle shop. By the way it was mantling it had obviously caught something, by the size it was more likely a thrush or blackbird rather than a pigeon.
The bullfinches -- two females and a male -- were feeding on the brambles by the Castle In The Air's car park.

1 Peregrine on the 'Beyond' building today at The Trafford Centre, facing the M60, not its usual side, may have something to do with the weather direction!
Peregrine falcon seen again whilst driving home from work down Trafford park road just after 2pm yesterday. Common buzzard circling over the ecology park on Wednesday after work.
As I was delivering to one of the service yards at the Trafford Centre, had an adult Peregrine flying around low above me, being very vocal whilst squabbling with a black-headed gull.
Peregrine falcon was seen yesterday & today whilst on my home from work just after 2pm whilst driving down Trafford park road it was perched up near chep yesterday but flying around today over chep.
Both peregrine Falcons perched on BEYOND near the Trafford centre just after 11am this morning. The male was having a bit of a fly around landing on a nearby pylon then back on beyond then off again out of view. A kestrel was flying around the Trafford centre & the BMW showroom also.
2 peregrine Falcons perched on the BEYOND building near the Trafford centre this morning from 11am. I can confirm that these peregrines are not from media city.
A peregrine falcon was flying around allied mills whilst driving past around 1pm, it then landed briefly on cargill before flying back off heading back towards the quays. Looked possibly like a female.
2 Peregrines frequently spotted in or around The Trafford Centre over the last couple of weeks, present today again. Probably the same as the Exchange Quay birds. Ray
A peregrine falcon was perched on allied mills as I drove home from work along coronet way this afternoon at 2.10pm, probably eyeing up the pigeons at Cargill.
A peregrine falcon flew low over near the parkway circle whilst on my way to work at 1.15pm, despite it being low I couldn't make out if it was an adult or a juvenile as I was driving.
Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd I had 2 sightings of a female kestrel along trafford park Road near the ecology park again Monday she was sat on a lampost, on Tuesday she was in flight but could see she had some string of some kind dangling from her talons. This morning I could hear a kestrel calling & 2 were sat on a rooftop near the ecology park, because of looking towards the sun I couldn't make out if it was a pair or maybe an adult with a juvenile. A sparrowhawk was circling over my works on broadway whilst on my break at 10am also a single swift over. Several chiffchaff & blackcap singing in various locations throughout the park.

A peregrine falcon was circling over my works on broadoak whilst I was on my break at 10.05am judging by size it was probably a male. Also 3 swifts over. 2 weeks ago when I was going to work on my bike I had 3 sightings of a great spotted woodpecker flying over tenax circle, always going in the same direction of heading towards centenary circle & that same week a female kestrel perched up on a building on Trafford park Road next to the ecology park. Oystercatchers have been seen & heard regularly throughout the park recently.
A walk along the Bridgewater Canal this morning from Parkway to Man Utd and return, produced;
Grey Wagtail (feeding off insects on the canal surface and then flying off to, hopefully, a hidden nest) Jay 3 singing Chiffchaff 2 singing Blackcap 1 singing Common Whitethroat Mallard Canada Geese Swift Herring Gull Lesser Black-backed Gull Blue, Great and Long-tailed Tit Blackbird, Song Thrush
Yesterday (Friday 28.06.19) whilst walking back to Stretford from Salford quays via Trafford park and Bridgewater canal I heard a Whitethroat singing in the brambles inside the Container Base (at Waters Meet) but it didn't show. I also heard a singing Chiffchaff inside the same location and found it 60 foot up a UHF transmitter ! Other birds Swift - 1. Herring Gull - 2. Lesser Black-Back Gull - 2.
Having used Tenax Road passing Lanxess works regularly in the recent past, I've noticed a number of adult Lesser Black-backed Gulls flying around . I assume urban nesting is taking place on the roofs of the various buildings.
A sedge warbler was singing in the bushes outside of the AKW group building at village circle this morning whilst on my way to work, no sight or sound of it on my back from work this afternoon.
Chiffchaff singing next to manchester united football ground. Chiffchaff singing at trafford park ecology park. Blackcap singing in the trafford park hotel car park. Common buzzard circling over Cargill, centenary way, spooking all the pigeons. Oystercatcher heard calling just after 10pm last night 28th.
Wasn't sure where to post this but 2 oystercatcher flew over heading south west calling as I crossed the ship canal and started cycling past B&Q at Trafford Park.

Male & female blackcap again feeding in the car park of the trafford park hotel this afternoon. Back on the 17th January there was 25+ chaffinch with several goldfinch in the trees along 11th street, this afternoon whilst driving past there was still a decent number of chaffinch still in the same area but did not stop to count them.
