RE: Wythenshawe Hospital

Great effort Charles, must admit a birder making the most of his imprisonment, you are doing well. Many year back the hospital grounds had two large ponds filled with ducks etc, also a couple of ponds just off Clay lane held Reed bunting,

Opposite the Maternity unit , the fields lead across to brooks drive and a small brook used to run along side it, maybe dried up now, it was many years ago when I was a paper boy for the hospital, I did my birding there.

Hope the recovery goes well

Keep birding

Slow walk around hospital grounds 6am.
7 Swallows
6 Blue Tit
6 Pied Wagtail
2 Great Tit
Lots of House Sparrows,Robins,Blackbirds and the star of the show a Reed Bunting at the back of Maternity unit, why would this be in hospital grounds? No reeds or water around here.

If the birding stays this good you may not want to leave!
