gutted that i missed the one at heysham, as i've been doing survey work for 3 days each month there since september last year! Nevermind, i'm up there for 3 days surveying birds next week so you neverknow what else night turn up!

My boss saw a 'funny brown bird with black & white on it' in Shaw, Oldham last weekend.

I showed him a picture of a Hoopoe and he was pretty certain that's waht it was.

Just scanned across the valley from smethurst hall large number of snad martins hawking
a male and female sparrowhawk circling a few cirvids and wood pigeon moving around. Now to work. Bugger.

RBA just reporting a Hoopoe in a Heywood garden yesterday near the River Roch though mobile.
