RE: Common Crane

Now there goes a birder prepared for all times, bins on the seat on the way to workbiggrin.gif

Mega find buddy, I am very jealous, my battered copy of The Birds of Heaven by Peter Matthiessen, (travel with cranes) has always had me hoping to find a Crane in GM.

Found one at Leighton Moss once it's something that you never forget, lets hope it is lingering somewhere still.

Mr Atkins keep the trophy polished I think Warfy wants it on his mantelpiece next year.

On my way to work this morning just come onto the East Lancs A580 i was in the middle lane stationary in traffic when at 7.48am a Common Crane flew north at middling height and headed away over Wardley Industrial Estate, lucky I had my bins on the passenger seat!!
