Wednesday, 3rd July 2019. 10:30 - 14:00 hrs.

My first visit to this site (from A6 - Rosemary Lane car park entrance). I stumbled across this car park for Cutacre Country Park by accident earlier this week while driving west on the A6 just around the corner from Junction 4 on the M61. I am glad I came back for a a few hours visit - in that time I covered 12,000 steps - and still did not take in many of the the footpaths! Thoroughly enjoyed my visit - and will return again soon; and also look in more detail around the area just north of the railway line - around Engine Lane / Pool area.

Greenfinch x 1
Whitethroat x 3
Reed Bunting x 5
Chiffchaff x 2
Song Thrush x 2
Mistle Thrush x 1
Jay x 2
Long-Tailed Tit x 10
One possible Yellow Wagtail in flight
Buzzard x 1
Kestrel x 3 sightings
Swift x 50
House Martin x 20
Swallow x 25
Skylark x 1
House Sparrow x 15
Robin x 2
Blue Tit x 5
Great Tit x 1
Chaffinch x 6
Goldfinch x 4
Herring Gull x 3
Black-Headed Gull x 4
Lesser Black-Backed Gull x 3
Magpie x 5
Woodpigeon x 10
Crow x 3
Jackdaw x 1

Also, see section under 'Other Wildlife sightings' for this site for the day...
