About 8 years ago I was watching a Buzzard while it sat on a fence post on Astley moss. Three young Stoats suddenly appeared about 30` further down the fence playing about. The Buzzard waited for them to get within a couple of feet then it just dropped on the nearest Stoat and held it in its talons, it then tried to catch one of the other Stoats as they disappeared into the undergrowth but just missed them.
Coming into work this morning,driving along the slip road to get on to A666 i saw a buzzard flying very low almost level with my passenger window. Running along the hard shoulder was a stoat or weasel with the bird in hot pursuit. Would a buzzard take something like that? I bet them little fellas put up one hell of a fight.
