I too saw kingfisher here about 2 years ago.

Tony O'Mahoney watches this area. He once had a Dipper on the brook here a few winters ago, plus Golden plover on the playing field etc. and has recorded Stock Dove recently. I used to watch Kingfishers here.

went exploring this evening, into the little strip of woodland between Mauldeth Rd, and the police training centre. not been there before. plenty of birds around including:

Grey Wagtail - pair on the stream
Goldcrest -2
GS Woodpecker 1
Treecreeper - 1
Mistle Thrush - 3
Song Thrush - 2
Willow Warbler - pair mating
Blackcap -3 singing
Greenfinch - 4
Goldfinch- 2
