You don't expect to be sitting in the front room of your house in deepest Wigan (well Gidlow) of a Monday morning, finishing your breakfast, and look up to see a Buzzard, pursued by two Ravens, flying towards you. Jean just beat me to the front door but they then doubled back north west and two more Ravens flew in from the direction of Mesnes Park and followed them, 'pronking' furiously.

All four, plus Buzzard, disappeared in a bizarre procession you might expect to see in the Lakes or on the moors - but in Wigan?
