Once again from 17:00pm onwards, the Barn Owl was out hunting. It showed briefly in the field opposite the communication tower, then moved down towards Delph sailing club, hunting over the fields and perched on the dry stone wall for a while. It crossed the road on several occasions directly over the on comming traffic and excellent views were had. Also two deer, several rabbits, a Buzzard, X3 Kestrels, X8 Curlews and X6 Lapwings were seen.
Excellent hunting display from the barn owl Thursday evening 05/03, two kestrels and a buzzard also spotted from the same spot, so plenty of raptor activity within the area.
On the lookout for little owls at the moment, has anyone got a good area to suggest??
