This morning 26 Common Snipe 1 possible Jack Snipe as i didnt get a great view before it went down. Note a few of the Common Snipe here have the characteristics of the Jack Snipe of flying about 50yds then going down without calling so unless you get a good view you can be duped into thinking that you have seen a Jack Snipe 2 Reed Bunting singing
Peregrine at usual spot this morning looking resplendant in the sunshine. Unfortunately i also learned that the spot would be disapearing soon, but at least a person involved now knows they have a peregrine using it as a regular roosting spot.
Peregrine roosting in usual place tonight 4.30pm after not seeing it about for some time this was a nice surprise and with latics winning away from home it calls for a celabratory drink or two

This morning 1 Peregrine 3 Kestrels 2 Buzzards 1 Sparrowhawk 20 + Greenfinches feeding on guelder rose bushes 1 Snipe and lots of water 8 Meadow pipits South 11 Mistle Thrush
Saw the kingfisher on canal nr iron bridge just as we left you Darren.! flew towards indian restaurant. also saw male banded damoiselle on dougy under iron bridge. nice to meet you too Darren and your very enthusiastic daughters.! hope mine is as keen on nature when she is theyre age.!
