Kane, I think them co ordinates are near the Irwell between Radcliffe and Little Lever possible near Shore Top, either way its less than 2 miles from my house!
He attached a map to his e-mail, which had a pointer next to the A6053, which I think is Stopes Road, but he did say that it could be within a mile of that, as it was not a strong signal as its been overcast and that Honey Buzzards skulk about in woods, i.e not enough sunlight getting to the transmitter to send in good signals.
Interesting, with this or a different one heading south over Darwen at 4.45 yesterday.. I was waiting at Elton yesterday from 5.30pm till 7pm but nothing flew over (again)
Not sure if anyone has seen Roy Dennis's recently updated website, were he has been Satellite Tracking a young Honey Buzzard from Scotland. This bird on the 17th Sep at 8pm was 8 miles NW of the city centre, between Bury and Bolton.
