My keep fit walk today was to check on this place. 39 species recorded during a couple of hours birding from the balcony
2 Sand martin North 10 Redwing NE 4 Fieldfare NE 20 Chaffinch NE 17 Meadow Pipit north 3 Cormorant NW Coal Tit singing 4 Buzzards 2 Kestrel (MF) 2 Pairs Sparrowhawk seen displaying Bullfinch (M)

105 Swallow South this afternoon, my little nephew who's just turned one took interest in me bird watching and wanted to be picked up to see the birds a bit closer he then pointed to the sky above us and a juvenile Peregrine was circling! top spot!
Ringtail Hen Harrier circled over Prestwich and was mobbed by a sparrowhawk before carrying on west 12 common Buzzard (9 Drifted east/SE and 3 local birds with some display) 6 Sparrowhawk ( 3 displaying and a further 3 west) Approx 50 meadow pipit north 2 Greenfinch displaying
Male Peregrine circled over 19 Snipe flew sw in 2 groups 49 Lapwing SW and 45 NW 1051 Woodpigeon NE in several flocks 333 Fieldfare sw 265 Pink-footed geese - east across Manchester in 4 Skeins
Massive Redwing movement today watched from 7-11.30 then 18.15 -18.30
8,000 Redwing moved sw/w during this time - i think the strong wind was pushing them low and they where coming over tree top/pylon height 2 Whooper swans sw in evening also 32 Fieldfare west

a staggering 34 Skeins of pinkfeet flew over 33 of which se and 1 nw, approx 4,000+ birds involved and these ranged from being right over head to over Manchester Airport.
there was a lot of noise from a group of Lesser black-baked gulls over the apartment this evening.
Turned out a Peregrine had taken one and was sat plucking it on our roof sat only a few feet away from the window! closet i have ever been to a Peregine.
Looked to be an immature bird - the head looked almost adult like but the body/wings still brown
