Hi Judith, Just checked & yes it is known as Jet Amber Fields, tameside council have this map ref: SJ 939 961 We all know it locally as Newton Hall by the building next to main road. Will list under Jet Amber Fields next time. Regards, Rae
I think this is what we call Jet Amber fields (and marked as such on the street map) - can you confirm that the grid ref of the pond is SJ937963 (approx)

Monday 5th May 08 4.15-5.45pm The 'pond' has (between canal & river in field) has certainly grown & seems to be attracting some resident bird life: 10 Canada geese, 2 moorhen, 7 mallards 1 lapwing 1 grey heron 4 bathing starlings Also along the path by river: 6 magpie 11 mallards 1 tree creeper 3 blue tit 5 great tit 6 carrion crow 5 robin 9 starlings 1 chiffchaff 2 gey heron 6 swallows 5 jackdaw 2 song thrushes 2 collared doves 8+ woodpigeon 2 chaffinch 1 common gull 4 blackbirds Rae
