Highlight of a TTV in the Douglas Valley, Haigh this morning was the sight of five male Mandarins squaring up to each other on the river below Wingates Road. Also a Dipper there and a Green Woodpecker yaffling in the Lower Plantations. Only real migrants seemed to be several Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps.
