Don't know if anyone is (still) interested in the camera and lens I am selling, but I have had some interest shown on a rival forum (BirdForum).

As you lot are local, I thought I'd check to see if anyone here were interested, before I get into negotiations with the other interested parties.

For Sale:

Nikon D70 DSLR complete with Tamron 200-500mm F5-6.3 Di lens.

Both in excellent condition complete with manuals, boxes, software, covers etc. Very minor damage on inside of lens hood, but not noticable and does not affect fitting of the hood. Slight marks on inside of glass - again absolutely no effect on images. Nikon body is as new (less than 8000 shutter activations).

Cost new was £1500 but I realise the camera body is now getting on a bit, hence total price of £600 (or make an offer). Tamron lens still sells for more than this new and is regarded by many as being better at the 500mm end than the Sigma 50-500mm lens. It is even light enough to hand hold.

This combo is a great starter kit for anyone wanting to get into bird photography using DSLR, on a tight budget.

Almost all of the photos on my freewebs site were taken with this combo.
