I couldn't resist buying one either! The little tripod works great on the dining room table and I am quite impressed by the way I can view birds in the trees behind the house which are just too far away for clear views through the bins.
I needed it like I need a hole in the head, but for £25 it seemed a shame not to!
Got one of these from ALDI Tyldesley yesterday (NB none at Horwich and I suspect not at Ashton in Makerfield either). Am very impressed. Comes with a handy tiny tripod - no good for a scope but OK for my camcorder last night when filming my husband in his church variety show!! A standard attachment, which I had, fits into the bottom and I can use it on my normal tripod. Also comes with a case. OK, it's cheap and cheerful but for £24.99 - about 2% I suppose of what I paid for my current scope and its lens, etc - you can't go wrong. And it's light. Not bad for photos either. OK for those days when you think - shall I take a scope? Is it worth it? Will I need it?

Aldi Eccles also has them, bought one as was looking to purchase a scope anyway, dont think will i will go far wrong with one of these for the price they are going for. Just need to get a proper Tripod now....
Aldi in Tydesley have a shedful of £24.99 scopes(the same ones Lidls were doing last year)They're really good as a spare or to leave in your car,GET ONE whilst stocks last, well recommended at the price. Pete Berry
