47 Coot highest count I have seen here so could have been a influx overnight as they all seemed to stick together on the water and not quarrel like the usual coots do ?
This area is now getting harder to view due to the hedges having not been cut for over a year and I don't think they will get cut again due to cutbacks and will soon be breeding season so doubt they will be cut before next October.
2 Mute Swans
8 Teal
2 Shovelers

4 Oystercatchers having a territorial dispute.
Oystercatchers come back every year to this area but never had evidence of breeding but there could be a possibility of them nesting on nearby factory roofs otherwise why keep coming back year after year bit of a mystery really.

Fourteen other Grey Herons seen near the heronry either feeding or flying over but only two birds seen actually at a nest. A Sparrowhawk flew over Crooke and a Buzzard was calling from the trees near Heinz.
Two Willow Tits were flitting through the woods near Crooke and it was good to see a flock of eight Long-tailed Tits had survived the cold winter.
