A decent flock of Lapwing has built up around Bredbury Park Industrial Estate, probably 300+ were flying around near the BP station early afternoon.
The flock was splitting with some remaining airborne and some settling briefly on both modern and old industrial buildings behind the petrol station.

127 Lapwing on the roof of Car People, Ashton Moss this morning, until all, bar one, were spooked by a Magpie. When I went past in the afternoon, most appeared to have settled back on the roof.

Late morning today there were 15 Lapwing on the roof of Car People, Ashton Moss.

I counted 116 this afternoon on the roof of Selco, next door to Screwfix visible from Ashton Moss tram stop

That's correct David

I was visiting the Screwfix store which is on the opposite side of the Car People building from Sheldon Way. So if they are resting on that side they will probably not be seen by folk travelling along Sheldon Way or using the trams.

Posted this using iPad just to check if double spacing is a device problem but it is the same as with a PC.

If I have my bearings correctly aligned, that would be the section of roof not visible from Sheldon Way? That could explain my count of three on Monday. The sneaky devils.

After a lengthy absence the Lapwing are finally back on the old Seddon Atkinson building on Higginshaw Lane, Royton.

On the drive home last night about 4:15 probably between 20 - 30 Lapwing, tonight even more maybe as many as 60 birds.

Good to see them back where they've been for many years.

200ish lapwing rooftop of 'the range' Kingsway retail park, Rochdale at 4:30 today.
They have been a fixture there for a few months.

there has been a group of lapwing on a factory roof on Swan Lane in Hindley green for around 3 months.numbers at the minute are around 30 but before christmas they were around 80ish.
