Hi Rob. I couldn't actually make out all the individuals in the flock as they were hunkered down between the roof ridges and Golden Plover do associate with this group.
30+ on the roof of Farmfoods at Newton Heath at 12.27 - counted from the top deck of a passing bus. Have you noticed that traffic is never delayed when it would be useful
(That was 12.27 p.m. on Thursday Nov 16th just in case anyone's confused )

A single Lapwing has been present on the roof of Car People, Ashton Moss most mornings and evenings this week. Two were present early afternoon today, although only a single bird was visible early evening.
Late post for approx 1.30pm yesterday, whilst driving along M60 had 30+ lapwings come up, clearly from a roof. Having looked at map this was from industrial estate on Cromwell Road, Bredbury, which contains Euro Car parts amongst others.
47 Lapwing counted on the south west slope of Car People Ashton Moss. Later the whole flock was in the air above the building, quick count and estimate between 60 and 70 birds in total. Birds seem to be settling either side of the ridge making an accurate passing count difficult.
Also, on Friday 13th Higginshaw Lane Oldham, again as passing by so rough estimate, 100+ Lapwing on the roof of Barrett Engineering Steel. This is close to the traditional roof sites further along Higginshaw Lane either side of Moss Lane.
The regular group of C 30 Lapwings are roosting on what is now Farmfoods at Newton Heath near the old silk mill. They were there yesterday between 11.50 a.m and 13.00 and also last Tuesday at around 11.00 a.m. I thought there were Golden Plover in with them on Tuesday but both times the bus went past too quickly for really good views.
At least 62 Lapwing on the new Poundland building at South Lancs Ind Estate, Ashton-in-Makerfield this morning, probably others not visible over apex of roof

At least 355 Lapwings on the roof of the Sidcot Group building on Woodstock Business Park on border of Oldham and Royton (OL2 6HL) - plus c 20 starlings
Bizarre sight at 11.15 this morning opposite the Greyhound pub in Bredbury. 12 Lapwing settled on the roof of the houses opposite. Presumably downed by the heavy rain and strong wind at the time.
