An adult Buzzard was standing in the middle of Cross lane in the centre of Salford this morning at 6.25 am.It was inspecting a recent roadkill of a Squirrel and was not very pleased about my approaching car.I got within 40` before it flew and perched on a nearby house. I parked up a little further down the lane near the school hoping to see it return to the Squirrel but after 3-4 minutes it flew off towards Mcdonalds at the top of Cross lane. I read last week that the Buzzard is now our commonest bird of prey , so hopefully we should see them more often in the inner city areas.
