Went up this afternoon. Unfortunately no sign of them.

Went round Elton this am, did not see the scoters alas. 2 common terns about 100 swift plus many martins also in field below the res approx 250 lapwing. On the canal the tufted still has 8 young and I was told that a grasshopper warbler has been reeling all last week in the evenings.
