Not much between Radcliffe & Little Lever, the highlight being a pair of Mute Swans with 10 cygnets.
It was so exciting to cross the new Meccano Bridge at Nob End for the first time ! OK, so it was my first Swift of the year flying above that caused the excitement, not the bridge. Also a couple of House Martins, and a Mute Swan sat on eggs.
Apart from the Mute Swan there was nothing at all on the canal between Nob End & Hall Lane.
If you wish to report sightings of colour ringed mute swans please send them to either the groupleader at info@northwestswanstudy.org.uk or to the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, Slimbridge. Glos. Many Thanks
