They were there about 9,30am and spent most of the day foraging in the farmers fields towards Walshaw, yet I went back to the reservoirs at 4pm to see if they had come to roost, yet couldn't find them.

They've usually hung around Lowercroft in with the Black headed Gulls  for a couple of weeks Ian before moving on ..They have only recently arrived so hopefully be around a few days yet.. Check through the gull flock and you should find them OK.. Good luck

Got up nice and early and had a walk over to the res to try and find these Mediterranean Gulls that Rob had seen yesterday, didn't have to walk very far, as they were foraging in the field off Bentley Hall Rd with approximately 30 black headed gulls. As you said Rob, very good lucking pair. smile

8.00am to 9.20am. Walked down to Lowercroft from the top of Tottington Road (Harwood).

Swallows at High Barn, and on the way down the fields to Asmus Fold I flushed a pair of Grey Partridges. Skylarks and a Mistle Thrush also around there.

The pond at The Height had a Grey Heron on it. Other birds around here included a pair of Mistle Thrushes not at all happy with a couple of Magpies, a Whitethroat, a Willow Warbler, Swallows nesting at the stables, Linnets, & Goldfinches.

More Swallows were at Old Holts, and two Wheatears were at Bentley Hall.

Lowercroft Reservoirs :-
4 Great Crested Grebes, 36 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 17 Mallards, 4 Moorhens, 2 Coots, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Lapwing, 1 Black-headed Gull, 2 Common Terns, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 House Martins, 3 Swallows, 2 Willow Warblers, 1 Nuthatch, 2 Reed Buntings.
Someone I have known for over 10 years (originally from Jumbles, but living here now) said she saw a Little Owl flying around near the bottom reservoir yesterday.
