They were there about 9,30am and spent most of the day foraging in the farmers fields towards Walshaw, yet I went back to the reservoirs at 4pm to see if they had come to roost, yet couldn't find them.

They've usually hung around Lowercroft in with the Black headed Gulls for a couple of weeks Ian before moving on ..They have only recently arrived so hopefully be around a few days yet.. Check through the gull flock and you should find them OK.. Good luck
Got up nice and early and had a walk over to the res to try and find these Mediterranean Gulls that Rob had seen yesterday, didn't have to walk very far, as they were foraging in the field off Bentley Hall Rd with approximately 30 black headed gulls. As you said Rob, very good lucking pair.
Pair of Gadwall on Upper Res along with 4 Goldeneye, 7 Tufted Duck, 2 Great Crested Grebe. A single Wigeon, 2 Common Snipe and a Jack Snipe were in the flooded gully above Upper Res.
Walk round middle and upper res this afternoon with the dog. 3.30pm - 4.30pm. Lower reservoir was deserted apart from a single coot, yet the top one was a hive of activity.
Of note:
x5 Goldeneye (1 male 4 female)
x1 Barnacle goose amongst the 60+ Canada geese.
x3 female Goosander
x1 Lesser black-backed gull
x2 Oystercatcher
x2 Great crested grebe
