judith, a pair of garganey on glovers pool at 7.20 am 10/05/07,none on dover basin at 7.35, they had left glovers
at 7.50.

It would be really helpful if birders could note the time they see the male Garganey at Pennington Flash, or the pair in the Abram Flashes, so we can assess how many birds there are ( the are on the Rare Breeding Birds Panel list so I need to know).

have just returned from flashes,after my last post i nipped back and checked glovers/coffin brook/and dover
but no sign of the birds,,,off to horrocks now whimbrel on the back pools ex judith smith (near the level crossing

Geoff, I `phoned Barry and he said drake Garganey only appeared at `dinner-time`. No sign of female. Neither bird was there yesterday so it looks like they`ve got a `second home` !
There`s also a Little Tern present even as I post !

had a pair of gargany at dover basin this morning 7.30 till 7.35 and again on glovers pool abram 11.20 they are very skittish so a careful approach is called for,if anyones going to pennington please time any gargany sightings for us
