RE: coopers lane - whitefield

Copper lane, west of Whitefield is a private road for cars, but you can walk down from Old Hall lane, off the A667. It leads to Hurst farm, 50yds from the farm turn right to Hurst wood. Buzzard, woodcock, linnet, brambling in some years and the odd yellowhammer. I,ve not found tree sparrow here, they may be around farms near Outwood, at  Clarks  Hill, off Copper  lane.  Shore Top was the nearest  site  for  tree  sparrow, but no sightings since 2002 .To see Copper lane on the map look for Ringley sewage farm, its just to the north.

No such place in my (admittedly rather old) street atlas - well, not Whitefield, anyway. Nearest place for Tree Sparrow is Bowlee, probably.
