Here I am to defend my honour.

Robert you KNOW that quote has been taken out of context ! ! ! To clarify it for the others, I was saying that I was going flat out to catch up with County LIFERS.

As I said in my original post, nothing will shake my resolution, and I totally deny a yearlisting attempt most rigourously.

All the evidence you have supposedly built up against me is the rantings of madmen !

Now if you`ll excuse me, I`m off to see my employers to see if I can take a `year out`...............................

" I`M GOING FLAT OUT FOR THIS YEAR "

The above statement I've copied and pasted from an e-mail a certain Mr Woosey sent to me recently, now does the above statement honestly sound like someone who's not County yearlisting your honour.

Would the defence like to cross examine your honour?.....nope thought not!

Sentenced to 12 months of Birding community service in the County of Greater Manchester involving daily travel on the M60 circular ringroad in all directions, numerous half eaten meals as a result of mobile phone calls, at least one thorough soaking per month and above all no social life for a year.

Give him his life back on January 1st 2008.

.........er doing a County yearlist is a fulfilling and extremely rewarding experience really!  ....now where did I put my tablets?

Good point Geoff  , all those county reports! There he is at night scouring them until the wee hours for any potential advantage they may give him over his opposition, surrounded by charts, graphs and projections for species he intends to see, mapping out their arrival dates and most likely locations. A new lighter scope? Selling his waistcoat? This guys shedding weight, so he can sprint past the year listing opposition on his way to some short staying Audenshaw rarity

All falling into place now, you've been sussed Woosey.....................

Woosey, what are you coming to

Firstly you vigorously deny the year list attempt you so obviously are secretly going at (and why not with Little Egret to grip the others with) but then swap a perfectly decent scope for one which is lighter- a strapping lad like you

I say come out of the closet, we're all mates, there's nothing to be ashamed of, yes county year listing is a terrible affliction but there is a cure, just ask Rob. Admit it, come clean, stand up and say "my name's Ian and I'm a county year lister".

Don't believe a word he says.

We all know he is really.

87 for January without trying? Yeah right!

Come on Ian, admit you're up for the big year and stop all this stealth-listing!!!

To Messers Mckerchar & Adderley,

I am catagorically stating right here, right now, make no mistake, I am NOT doing a yearlist this year ! No amount of cajoling from either of you will work.

Macker, don`t even think of replying to this !
