RE: PENNINGTON FLASH.

I was there 7.30am - 10.00am, 11.15am - 12.15pm & 2.30pm - 4pm and didn't see any little terns after 8am, but thats not say they weren't there. All I can say for sure is there were definitely two present up to 8am.

No little tern for me at by 10am this morning, the Lesser Scaup was still present but I think all the later Little Tern sightings from what we're pointed out to me today were most likely Juvenile Common Tern mis identified . I am not sure if the Litte Terns were seen at all after 8am? . I could be wrong as I went back to my current patch to get some peace lol

Lesser scaup still at western end 10.45 viewed from Green Lane. However flushed by swimmers and a yacht at about 11.00. Flew around with tufted ducks and not relocated on a circuit of the flash. 25+ tufted duck are asleep on the spit only viewable from the canal / leaning posts area so may be with them in the vegetation.  Note, the event from yesterday is still on going and there is a lot of congestion and disturbance. The main car park is currently full.

6am - 7am from Green Lane and then 6pm - 7.30pm on south side from east bay to sailing club. Lots of disturbance as anticipated, fortunately I can walk it.

No sign of lesser scaup in fact I only saw about 4 tufted ducks. Four common terns, 2 adults and 2 juveniles and 2 Egyptian geese were best.

No sign of lesser scaup for me this morning or for anybody else I spoke to between 8am - 10.15am. I checked all of it's usual haunts at least twice each. There were a handful tufted ducks asleep on the spit with some partially hidden in the vegetation so could be with them I suppose. The largest group of around 30 tufted ducks was off the main car park with 3 pochard, though the latter flew west at about 9am and were not relocated. Yesterday there were 3 male pochard with a single female, today there was 1 male with 2 females so obviously some movement of pochard. Also today, common sandpiper at the sailing club first thing and 2 Egyptian geese.

The Lesser Scaup has been flushed again by some stupid bloody woman on a paddle board who decided to head right for the flock. It's still visible but very distant from the yacht club looking towards Rammies. Common Scoter still there as well.
