A second winter Iceland Gull came very late (approx 4 o'clock-ish) into the gull roost at Heaton Park Reservoir tonight (access strictly by permit only) and was slightly overdue, given the reasonable numbers in other nearby counties! Given that the gull roost here is usually relatively poor during the week, it may be worth checking other sites incase it sticks around, particularly Audenshaw, but with such a large movement of gulls between atleast 3 or 4 large refuse tips in Cheshire, Lancs and Greater Manchester, it could well turn up anywhere!
