I understand the land near the JJB soccer drome has now been built on.


For Irlam Moss, I don't think being at the Trafford Centre will help you. Access is from various roads off A57 Liverpool Rd, Irlam, notably Astley Rd, which is driveable. Having gone over the M62, you need to turn right along Twelve Yards Rd (metalled with humps) when you get to an isolated house on the LH side of the road. When you get to the Cutnook Lane junction, the road is very bad after that for a while, then improves again when you get to Rasberry Lane.

Would like to try Irlam Moss this weekend to coincide with Xmas shopping at the Trafford Centre (some of us have no choice!!).


Wondered where is the best place to park up etc and what species to expect.


Also I have been told that behind JJB Soccer Dome isn't bad either?


Anyone any ideas?
