RE: Atherton Farm, Feeding Station

Hi All,

This morning I tried to do a total count of Yellowhammer at the feeding station and the entire farm. 58 at or near my feeding station, 5 over the rest of the farm and 5 at the feeding station near the farmyard, = 68.

Others 24 Greenfinch, 2 Bullfinch (M+F), 4 Chaffinch, Great, Blue, Coal and Long Tailed Tit. 1 Great Spotted & 1 Green Woodpecker (Atherton Woods). Beefold Pond – 1 Kingfisher, 6 Black Headed Gulls and 1 Pochard.

Today the feeding station is being dismantled due to building work (See Discussion page)

 Cheers

The numbers of Yellowhammers at the feeding station or in the vicinity of it, just seems to be on the increase everyday - 56 this morning, 12 Reed Bunting, 1 Tree Sparrow and 2 Bullfinch (M + F). (The Greenfinch where missing didn't see any!)
